View of the ROM chip about to be installed. Data on this chip is 60mm f/1.1 which is close enough as 58mm f/1.2 was not possible with current Minolta/Sony codes.

This is 5 layers of aluminum tape which will be used as a temporary spacer. You can use any kind of tape but the thicker ones make this easier.

Here I have a piece of tape cut which I will use to hold the chip to the mount while the epoxy glue hardens.

View from above. This is when you must make sure the chip is as flush as possible to the mount. You don't want too much space there.

Mixed epoxy on a piece of tape. This makes cleanup easy, just throw the tape away.

After only a few minutes, the epoxy will be semi-soft but not runny. This all depends on your epoxy but I would recommend you get one that is slower and not super fast curing. While the ep ...
